An operator shall not engage in Reduced Vertical Separation Minima operation (RVSM) unless that operator is authorized by the Authority.

The Rwanda Civil Aviation Regulations (RCARs) related to Authorization of RVSM operations are: -

• RCAR Part 6:  Required Instruments Equipment
• RCAR Part 10:  Operation of Aircraft for Commercial Air Transport Regulations
• RCAR Part 12:  Air Operator Certification Administration

To initiate the authorization approval process, applicants are required to complete and submit to the Authority the following Forms and related documents:

• 564-06 Form:  RCC Instruments-Equipment
• 564-032 Form:  CC RVSM Approval
